General Questions

About Bazuka Sub-Zero

Bazuka Sub-Zero is a freezing treatment used to permanently remove warts and verrucas. It is a home treatment based on the cryotherapy methods used by dermatologists, that often removes warts with just one use. It can be used by anyone over the age of four. Each pack contains materials for 12 freeze applications.

Bazuka Sub-Zero is the only product to use a patented technology called Verrukill. This device ensures that the freezing agent is released accurately and safely. This means that you can hone in on stubborn warts and verrucas instead of dealing with any side effects.

It can take up to two weeks for a wart to be removed once frozen. During this time, avoid picking or scratching at the skin, as this will delay the treatment and may cause the virus to spread.

How to use Bazuka Sub-Zero

Before using the device, soak the affected skin in warm water. Use a file or pumice to remove any excess skin.

To assemble the device, insert a foam applicator into the nozzle, and add the protective cap. To ‘charge’ the applicator, twist the device such that the arrows on the aerosol and the cap meet in the ‘on’ position, and push down on the cap. Apply the foam applicator to your wart or verruca for a few seconds.

The active ingredients contained in Bazuka Sub-Zero’s freezing agent are:

Dimethyl ether, liquid propane gas

Warnings

Reading the following warnings carefully will help to ensure you are selecting an appropriate product.

Bazuka Sub-Zero should not be used if you:

  • Are pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Have diabetes
  • Have poor circulation to the extremities
  • Are using another wart or verruca treatment

This product is suitable for children only if they are over the age of 4. An adult should apply the treatment to the child’s skin.

This treatment is not appropriate for warts on or around sensitive areas (i.e. the face, breasts, genitals, bottom, armpits). If you have a wart on or around one of these areas, consult your GP or dermatologist as you will require specialist advice.

This treatment is not suitable for other skin lesions (e.g. birthmarks, moles)

Do not use Bazuka Sub-Zero on damaged, itchy or diseased skin.

Do not re-use foam applicators. Take care when handling the device, as the freezing agent can cause damage to skin and other surfaces if it leaks. It is also highly volatile and flammable.

Bazuka Sub-Zero is not known to interact with any other medicines. However, it should not be used alongside other treatments for warts or verrucas.

Please read all packaging and the Product Information Leaflet before taking any new medicine and inform your doctor of medicines you are taking or intend to take.

Potential side effects

Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Treatment will initially cause pain and tingling on the skin to which it is applied. As the skin heals, there will be blistering and scabbing.

If used incorrectly, the freezing agent can cause permanent scarring, or damage to nearby tendons or nerves.

If you are concerned about these effects, or if the product affects you in any other way, stop using it and talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
