Piriteze Allergy tablets use the antihistamine Cetirizine Hydrochloride to help control the symptoms of hayfever and allergies including pet allergies, skin allergies, mould spores, and house and dust mites.

Piriteze is commonly used to treat symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and skin itching caused by allergies. It works by blocking the action of histamine, which is a natural substance in the body that is released during an allergic reaction and causes symptoms like itching, sneezing, and runny nose.

When you are in contact with something you’re allergic to, such as pollen, your body begins to produce histamine. Histamine is an immune response to allergic substances and causes symptoms like watery eyes and sneezing with the intention to remove the allergen from your body. Antihistamines block histamine receptors, helping to prevent those symptoms from occurring right from the start.

1. Relief of allergy symptoms: Piriteze is commonly used to relieve symptoms associated with allergies, such as hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and other allergic conditions, including sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and skin itching. It can help alleviate the discomfort and inconvenience of these symptoms, allowing people to go about their daily activities more comfortably.
2. Prevention of allergic reactions: Piriteze can also be used as a preventive measure to reduce the occurrence of allergic reactions in people who are known to be sensitive to allergens such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, or other triggers. Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
One tablet once a day

Children aged 6 to 12 years:
Half a tablet twice a day

Children under 6 years:
Not recommended.

Not everyone will experience side effects when they take medication, however, if you do they can include:

Drowsiness or sedation, sore throat, runny nose, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, and tiredness.
